PADUA CAMPUS NEWS
Good day good people,
Welcome to another very wet Week 9 of Term 1!
Term 1 is typically known for its heat, but this year has been unusually wet. On the bright side, the rain has brought cooler temperatures; however, it has also limited students’ ability to play on the ovals more than usual. As I write this newsletter, I hope all our families are safe and dry following the heavy rainfall that we have had lately.
Assessment
As the end of the term draws near, our students are gearing up for their classroom assessments. Assessments are vital for monitoring student progress, recognising strengths, and identifying areas for improvement. They provide teachers with valuable insights to customize learning experiences and ensure students are meeting essential learning goals. While assessments may feel challenging at times, they also offer students a chance to showcase their knowledge and celebrate their accomplishments. We’re excited to see the fantastic work from our students and to celebrate the progress they’ve made.
The Importance of Parent-Teacher Interviews
Parent-teacher interviews offer a valuable opportunity for parents to gain a deeper understanding of their child’s academic progress, strengths, and areas for growth. These meetings allow for meaningful discussions about learning goals, addressing any concerns, and fostering a strong home-school partnership.
When parents are actively engaged in their child’s education, students tend to stay motivated, perform better, and develop a positive attitude toward learning. Attending these interviews demonstrates to children that their education is a priority and highlights the importance of collaboration in supporting their success. We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity to connect with teachers and play an active role in their child’s learning journey.
Reminder
We kindly remind parents that student toilets are not for parental use, as this can pose a safety risk. For your convenience, there are designated toilets available at the office for parents. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all students and staff.
God bless,
Karen Krzelj - Deputy Principal (Acting)
