PADUA - ARTS DEPARTMENT
MUSIC
This term, students have been exploring improvisation—creating their own tunes on the fly. They've been playing the 12-bar blues, accompanied by a backing track and using a cool keyboard sound that matches the style perfectly. It's been great to see students diving into the creative side of making music!
Padua Discos
Despite the weather resulting in wet weather play most of this week, our lunchtime discos have been a success this term at Padua. Our discos on Tuesdays and Wednesdays provide opportunities for our students to move their bodies, have fun and get dressed up! Our grade 6 helpers are a great support and the students really love it.
Discos are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at first break for Yr 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Wednesdays at second break for Yr 1.

Drama Club
Our Padua Drama Club has had a great start to the year with our students really taking every opportunity to engage and perform.
The focus this term has been on Speechmakers where the students write and present their own speeches. The students will compete in a school competition at the beginning of next term and then two students from each grade will be chosen to represent our school at the Inter-school public speaking competition. The students have been really creative so far, coming up with interesting introductions for their speeches.
Drama Club is a great way to build confidence, make friendships and have fun in a supportive manner.
Open to Yr 4, 5 and 6 students every Thursday morning at 7:30am - enquire at the Padua office if interested.
