Year 11 Unit Change
Unit 2 will commence on Monday 26th May for most subjects in Year 11. The exceptions are subjects that have been registered as Alternative Sequence (AS). AS subjects are on a slightly different timeline than other General subjects. As subjects at St Anthony’s in Year 11 are:
- Ancient History
- Design
- Music
- Physics
If Year 11 students wish to discuss a subject change for Unit 2, they need to email Miss Tebble (ktebble1@sacc.catholic.edu.au), the Career Development Practitioner or myself (hrainnie@sacc.catholic.edu.au). Emailing both of us is best. Students have until Thursday 5 th June to apply for a subject change as all changes need to be
finalised by Friday 6 th June.
Students can no longer move into a Certificate course that is being delivered at school.
When considering a subject change after a course of study has begun, students and parents/carers should consider how learning and assessment requirements for the subject will be achieved within the required timelines. To receive QCE credit for a unit or unit pair, a student needs to complete all the learning and assessment as outlined in the syllabus. If a unit or pair of units is incomplete, due to non-completion of assessment, a unit or subject result cannot be awarded and no credit towards the QCE will accrue for the unit/s.
If you have any questions regarding subject changes or senior schooling, please contact me.
YEAR 11 & 12.
Students are reminded to access their Learning Summary on the myQCE platform on the QCAA website: https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/. It is vital that students check subject enrolments and personal details attached to their Learning Account to ensure
that the QCAA have the correct information. If any subject information is incorrect the College needs to be informed so that changes can be made. If personal details are incorrect or have changed (e.g., address), a parent may need to confirm the change.
myQCE also has a wealth of information regarding:
- Your QCE pathway
- Subjects and courses
- Assessment and results
- Getting motivated.
Parents can also access these resources through the QCAA website.
