This week we celebrated Catholic Education Week. We had our College Captains represent us at the Mass to launch the week. We congratulate Ben Harvey who was our recipient of the Spirit of Catholic Education Award on the Assisi Campus and to Ayden Williams for being the recipient of the Deus Caritas Est Award. 

Year 10s have had a busy fortnight with the spotlight on them in a good way. Last week we had very good attendance for the Lovebites Retreat. An important part of schooling is to inform and educate our students on healthy relationships. Then this week it has all been about their future. Subject choices for next year and Career Pathways Expo. We hope they have asked plenty of questions, doing their research and making good decisions about their future at this stage. 

We have had a range of other opportunities for our students. Last week there was an excellent presentation after school for our Year 12 students interested in going to University. Thank you to the parents who were able to attend this. Two of our Year 9 Homerooms tied for first place in the Scavenger Hunt in the last week of last term and were treated for an excursion out to the Escape Room. We hope they enjoyed this. We had students represent the College at the Challenge Games. While the weather looked dicey, it still went ahead and they had a good time. Our Year 11 Giles Homeroom had a fundraiser for the RUOK organisation as part of their Community Project they do in Ubuntu. Other Homerooms will have the opportunity as well. Currently our Year 12 Aquatics class are on Magnetic Island for an excursion. Early reports are they are having a great time and having plenty of opportunities to show their competencies as part of their course. 

The College Board met again this fortnight and are spending time around some of our current policies. I will send out information about this next week.
