PADUA SHINE NEWS
Update to Student Recognition – Shining Star Slips
We’re excited to share a small change to our student recognition program at Padua. Shining Star
Slips will now replace the previous Franciscan of the Month slips.
These slips are part of our SHINE initiative and are used by staff to acknowledge students who consistently demonstrate outstanding behaviour, learning, and the Franciscan spirit. Each Shining Star Slip acts as a nomination toward the Franciscan Award for the term.
At the end of each term, one recipient from each year level will be selected to receive the Franciscan Award and will be invited to share a special morning tea with Mr Horner at 10:45am on the Friday of Week 10.
Thank you for your continued support as we celebrate the many ways our students shine each day.
Our SHINE focus for Week 4 is:
SHINE award winners from Prep - Year 3
SHINE award winners from Years 4- 6
NAIDOC Week Celebrations
Students from both the Assisi and Padua campuses came together to celebrate NAIDOC Week. The day was filled with vibrant, market-style activities, including Indigenous games and storytelling, dance and art workshops, as well as food preparation and tasting experiences.
A heartfelt thank you to all the organisers, guests, and special visitors who contributed to making the day such a meaningful and successful celebration of culture and community.
