PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Good Day, Good People,
The Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB) has recently released their Revised Education Guideline for Educational Programs for Non-State Schools. The revised guideline and associated time allocations for meeting the curriculum place a heavy emphasis on English and Mathematics to develop strength in literacy and numeracy.
Schools are currently working through the implementation of these changes, which includes alterations to timetabling, lesson planning and resource allocations. The changes will be in action from Term 1, 2026.
These changes are an exciting opportunity to ensure every child is given the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
This is the reason for the extra Student Free day in October as teachers get an opportunity to make the changes needed.
The College is excited to announce the long-awaited upgrade to the Assisi Bus Zone. All parents were emailed details of the changes to areas around the College while construction occurs. The College received a substantial amount from the State Government through the State Transport Infrastructure Program (STIP).
Thank you to everyone who supported the Winter Carnival last Friday. There were many people who assisted on the night. I would like to thank these three who were tireless in their work and a major reason for the success of the night. A big thank you to Tracey Wilson, Lisa Melsen and Kaylee Roberts.
We also want to bring your attention to a wonderful concert the College will be running this Saturday on August the 30th. We bring you our first ever St. Anthony’s Spectacular. There are approximately 200 tickets left- tickets are available online via this link https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1444588 & also at the door on the night. Please come along to support our children.
Barry Horner
Principal
