Good Day, Good People,
Media Consent Updates
Upon enrolment, parents are asked to provide consent for their child’s name and image to be used in various forms of media to promote the School/College and Catholic Education. If you do not wish to provide this consent, or you would like to withdraw your authorisation, please notify the school in writing via email, office@sacc.catholic.edu.au
If we do not hear from you to make any changes, your original consent will remain in effect.
PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO/MEDIA CONSENT
Photos, video footage, and student work samples are regularly used by the College to acknowledge student achievements and to promote, market, or advertise the College or Catholic Education.
I consent to the student being photographed, filmed, or recorded for purposes related to the College, Catholic Education, or the Townsville Catholic Diocese, including educational purposes. This may include use in various forms of media (e.g., television, radio, publications), College publications (e.g., newsletters, yearbooks), online platforms (e.g., websites), and social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
I understand it is my responsibility to notify the College if I do not wish to give consent, or if I wish to withdraw my consent, for the student’s image, name, or voice to appear in any of the above.
I acknowledge that copyright of all such images and recordings will remain with the College, Townsville Catholic Education, the Diocese of Townsville, or their authorised contractors, and that no remuneration or compensation will be provided for their use.
Uniform Policy
Is your child following the uniform policy? A consistent uniform dress code promotes a sense of belonging. Students are encouraged to develop important life skills through consideration of issues related to personal appearance, including personal hygiene, health and safety issues. All students have a responsibility to be positive role models within the school and in representing the school in the wider community. All students must wear the school hat to school events, including external sports.
Hairstyles
Hair should be:
-
Neat and clean with no fashion extremes in styling or cut. This includes but is not limited to mullets and tracks.
-
Regardless of the student’s gender, hair at or below the collar must be tied back at all times.
-
Natural colour.
-
Hair accessories must be plain black, bottle green or white with the Academic uniform. House coloured hair ribbon can be worn with the Sports Uniform.
Jewellery
-
If a student is wearing earrings, a maximum of two small plain gold or silver studs or sleepers in the lobe of each ear. No other piercings are permitted.
-
The wearing of pearls or pearl like earrings, diamonds, stones or other designer earrings is not permitted.
-
Religious symbol on a chain permitted
-
Watch (no smart watches) permitted
-
One plain signet ring.
-
No make-up to be worn at school
Students are not permitted to wear nail polish or false nails, such as acrylic nails. Fingernails should be clean and neatly trimmed.
Thank you to our families for ensuring your child/children are wearing the correct school uniform each day. Your support helps us maintain a sense of pride, unity, and belonging within our school community.
Early Arrivals at School
We kindly remind families that staff supervision at school begins at, e.g. 8:00 am each morning. For the safety and wellbeing of all students, we ask that children do not arrive before this time, as supervision is not available. Your support in ensuring students arrive within the supervised times helps us to keep everyone safe and cared for.
God bless,
Karen Krzelj - Deputy Principal (Acting), Padua Campus
