In late July our school was represented on the global stage by year 5 EcoMarine Ambassadors Zoe, Islee and Amelia at Tangalooma Resort where the Global Links Australia event was held. The event gathers school students from around the world to present their sustainability project ideas. We believed this would be an excellent opportunity to showcase our St Anthony’s single-use plastic recycling project ‘Forever Pens’ and allow international schools the opportunity to learn about and adopt our project for  themselves.

Our students worked extremely hard on their presentation and were magnificent – they received the Gold award!!

As the only catholic school in the primary category, our students embraced the opportunity to network with other students – even teaching Chinese students how to play handball! We are immensely proud of Zoe, Islee and Amelia and thank all the teachers and parents who supported their trip south.
