ASSISI CAMPUS NEWS
Welcome back to Term 4 and it is the last term of high school for our Year 12 students. The last week of last term they had an excellent time at Lake Tinaroo as part of their Retreat. Plenty of time to reflect on school, the relationships they have made over the years and lots of fun times as a group. I thank the staff who were able to facilitate such a lifelong experience for our students. There are only two weeks of classes left and in the last week there are some other activities planned.
Some of our teachers went straight from Retreat to the NZ Ski Tour. They were able to enjoy some end of season snow to be able to have a terrific experience on the ski fields in a number of places. They also ventured out to other activities and had some wonderful meals as well. Thank you to the four teachers who were able to give these students such an experience. We hope it sparks their interest in travelling overseas.
Benedict celebrated their House Cup win with a Disco party in the SDC. There was fairy floss, snow cones, popcorn and a snag sandwich to enjoy. Our very own Rose Fitzsimmons was the DJ who had the tunes happening and plenty of activities and prizes awarded.
This week is a rather short week, so we hope the students enjoyed the extra day of holidays. Our Mixed Touch team headed off to Brisbane yesterday to compete in the QLD All Schools Touch Carnival. We wish them all the best. There will be more sporting events coming up in the near future.
A reminder that Wednesday 15/10 will be Academic Uniform day due to Sports and Specials Photos and Thursday 16/10 will be a sports uniform day.
Until next Newsletter or I see you, take care.
